50 for 50

Celebrating 50 Years of Service to the Upstate

Since 1966, SHARE has been serving families in need in our community. That is a half of a century dedicated to working hard to fight poverty and educate low-income children, families and individuals with the goal of enabling them towards independence. Through our programs, such as Head Start, LADDER, and Operation Warmth, we have been, and will continue to be, an agency that provides emergency and crisis assistance as well as educational programs for children and families.

Now, in our 50th year, SHARE is more determined to focus on lifting individuals and families out of the grips of poverty. Since our inception, we have relied on community donations to fund our programs.

With the donations and volunteer efforts of Upstate communities, we have been able help over 20,000 families each year. We owe our success to you!

This year, we are celebrating our historic roots in the Upstate. In honor of our 50th anniversary, SHARE has launched its 50 for 50 campaign which asks community members to donate $1 for every year that SHARE has dedicated to the progression of our communities. With these $50 donations, we can continue to fight poverty and educate our communities towards independence.
