About Us

Sunbelt Human Advancement Resources, Inc. (SHARE) is a private non-profit organization that provides a wide range of services to low and moderate-income residents in Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens counties. Since its inception, SHARE has made specific and meaningful contributions to help those less fortunate in the upstate by providing programs in early childhood education, youth programs, emergency assistance, housing, homelessness, and others. 

Chartered in 1966 and headquartered in Greenville, the mission of SHARE is to help low-income individuals, families, and neighborhoods become self-sufficient. SHARE was chartered as an educational charitable organization under the name of Greenville County Council for Community Actions, Inc. and is designated as a 501c (3) nonprofit organization by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).   The agency was renamed SHARE in 1979.

As a designated award winning Community Action Agency, Community Development Corporation (CDC) and National Head Start Program of Excellence, SHARE has partnered with local industry, local municipalities, and United Way agencies in Greenville and Pickens counties.  By partnering with members of the upstate community, SHARE has made available an avenue for low and moderate-income residents to become productive.  SHARE’s work simultaneously benefits the entire community, thus making the upstate a more viable region for all citizens to enjoy a high-quality of life.
