JOB SUMMARY:

Operate a school bus over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, picking up and discharging students; provide safe and efficient transportation for Head Start students to and from the Centers; perform daily inspections and operator maintenance of the vehicle; assist in the loading and unloading of physically and mentally handicapped students as necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Minimum General Education:
High school diploma or GED. Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified at time of hire or achieve certification within 90 days from date of hire.

B. Minimum Work Experience:
Good written and oral communication skills, as well as basic math skills. Ability to maintain schedules while meeting the individual needs of children and families.

C. Other:
A valid Commercial Driver’s License with ‘P’ (Passenger) and ‘S’ (School Bus) Endorsements and a driving record free of any moving violations within the last three years.
