JOB SUMMARY:  Provides leadership in customer advocacy for the coordination of service delivery for eligible households. Provides leadership for office operations and customer services as designated. Implements case management of selected customer households. Mobilizes and coordinates internal and external resources to remove barriers and follow up on active cases. Participates with customers to develop a plan for self-sufficiency. Implements approved work program. Participates in screening, intake, and other direct service delivery. Maintains a case load in accordance with ROMA goals. Determines barriers to self-sufficiency, sets objectives mutually agreed to by customers, and evaluates customers’ progress. Responsible for maintaining customer records and all related reports. Participates in staff case reviews. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  1. Minimum General Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, or related field preferred. Licensed Social Worker or equivalent combination of formal training and related experience.
  2. Minimum Work Experience: At least three years of experience in social service work is desired; experience working with low-income families is desired. Ability to work with a team and to creatively approach problems of low-income families is required.
  3. Other: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid SC Driver’s License, good driving record, and dependable transportation. _____________________________________________________________________________________
