SHARE Head Start receives National Recognition

SHARE would like to congratulate, Paris Hill, parent at the Golden Strip Head Start Center, for being recognized as the recipient of the 2022 South Carolina State Head Start Association’s Ron Herndon Scholarship for Head Start Parent Award.  After receiving the SC state recognition, Ms. Hill went on to compete with national nominees.  We are proud to say that Paris Hill was recognized by the National Head Start Association (NHSA) as a national recipient of the Ron Herndon Scholarship for Head Start Parent Award.  Ms. Hill, along with supporting staff, SHARE Board of Directors Chairman, Isacc Johnson, and President/CEO, Pamela Sims, attended the NHSA conference that was held in Baltimore, Maryland on May 1- 5th, 2022.  During the parent and award recognition ceremony, she was acknowledged for outstanding accomplishments and received a $2,500.00 scholarship to be used to assist her with furthering her education.  Ms. Hill is currently a rising junior at Strayer University where she is pursuing a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.  Her career goal is to become a Mortician.
