SHARE Head Start Alumnus Reece Wilson Receives 2026 Region IV Head Start Graduate Award

SHARE Head Start proudly announces that Reece Wilson, a 2011 alumnus of SHARE Head Start, has been named the recipient of the 2026 Region IV Head Start Graduate Scholarship Award.
Reece is currently a sophomore at Furman University, where he is pursuing a degree in Environmental and Conservation Biology. His academic achievements and continued dedication to excellence reflect the long-term impact of comprehensive early childhood education and family support.
Reece was formally recognized during the Region IV Head Start Association Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia. He accepted a commemorative plaque and a $1,500 scholarship at the Awards Gala on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
He was supported at the ceremony by Pamela Sims, President & CEO of SHARE; Shannon Vaughn, Head Start Director; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson; and other SHARE staff.
“Reece’s journey is a powerful example of what is possible when children are given a strong foundation early in life,” said Pamela Sims, President & CEO of SHARE. “We are incredibly proud to see a SHARE Head Start alumnus excel academically and represent our program at the regional level. His success affirms our mission and the lasting impact of Head Start on children and families.” Reece has also been named a candidate for the National Head Start Scholarship Award, with the national recipient to be announced at a later date.
